The Romans Road uses several passages from the book of Romans to explain why we need salvation, what Jesus has done for us and how we can respond in faith. If you have never trusted Jesus as your Savior, today can be the beginning of a new life.
The Romans Road is a simple yet powerful way to understand the message of salvation through Jesus Christ. Using key verses from the book of Romans, it outlines our need for grace, God’s provision through Christ, and the invitation to receive eternal life.
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” — Romans 3:23
Every one of us has missed the mark. Sin separates us from God and reveals our need for a Savior.
“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” — Romans 6:23
Sin leads to spiritual death—but God offers eternal life as a free gift through His Son.
“But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” — Romans 5:8
Jesus didn’t wait for us to clean ourselves up. He gave His life for us while we were still lost.
“If you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” — Romans 10:9
Salvation isn’t earned—it’s received by faith. It begins with a personal decision to trust Jesus.
“For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” — Romans 10:13
No matter your past, your doubts, or your background—God’s grace is available to you.
A prayer does not save us by itself; salvation comes through sincerely placing our faith in Jesus Christ. If these words express the desire of your heart, you may use them to respond to God:
“Heavenly Father, I admit that I am a sinner and I need Your forgiveness. I believe that Jesus Christ died for my sins and rose again to give me new life. Today, I confess Jesus as my Lord and Savior. I surrender my life to You. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit and help me walk in Your truth. Thank You for saving me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
