Is Giving biblical?

Giving is deeply biblical: it’s an act of worship, obedience, and partnership that recognizes God as the owner of all we have. Scripture calls us to sow generously and cheerfully because generosity reflects the heart and invites God’s blessing (2 Corinthians 9:6–8), and it teaches the discipline of offering firstfruits as an expression of reverence and gratitude (Leviticus 27:30). Jesus upholds the practice of tithing while insisting generosity be paired with justice, mercy, and faithfulness (Matthew 23:23), and the stories of the widow’s offering and the boy’s lunch show that even the smallest gift given in faith can be multiplied and used for God’s purposes (Mark 12:41–44; John 6:1–13). At Harvest, we give not from pressure but from purpose and love—for God, for people, and for the mission we share.

1. Download the App

  • Go to your smartphone’s app store or tap the icon that matches your phone to be directed to either the App Store    for iPhone or Google Play Store    for Android. ​

  • Search for "Givelify."

  • Download and install the free app.

2. Find Harvest Church of God

  • Open the Givelify app.

  • The app uses GPS to show nearby organizations. Look for "Harvest Church of God" in Reisterstown, MD.

  • If you don't see us right away, you can type "Harvest Church of God Reisterstown MD" into the search bar.

3. Make Your Donation

  • Tap on the Harvest Church of God profile.

  • Tap the "Give" button.

  • Enter the amount you wish to give.
