Is Giving biblical?

At Harvest, giving is more than a transaction—it’s an act of worship, obedience, and partnership in God’s work. Scripture calls us to honor the Lord with our resources, recognizing that everything we have belongs to Him.

“Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously… God loves a cheerful giver.” — 2 Corinthians 9:6–8

Paul reminds us that generosity is both a seed and a reflection of the heart. When we give freely and joyfully, God is able to bless us abundantly—not just financially, but in every good work. Giving is not about pressure, but about purpose.

“A tithe of everything from the land, whether grain from the soil or fruit from the trees, belongs to the Lord; it is holy to the Lord.” — Leviticus 27:30

Tithing—giving the first tenth of our income—is a biblical principle that reflects reverence and gratitude. It’s not just a financial decision; it’s a spiritual discipline that honors God and fuels the ministry of the church.

“You give a tenth of your spices—mint, dill and cumin. But you have neglected the more important matters of the law—justice, mercy and faithfulness. You should have practiced the latter, without neglecting the former.” — Matthew 23:23

Jesus affirms the importance of tithing while reminding us that generosity must be paired with compassion and integrity. At Harvest, we give not out of obligation, but out of love—for God, for people, and for the mission we share.

“Little is much when God is in it.” — Inspired by Mark 12:41–44 & John 6:1–13

Whether it’s a widow’s two coins or a boy’s small lunch, Scripture shows us that God can multiply even the smallest gift when it’s given in faith. At Harvest, we believe that every offering—large or small—has eternal impact when placed in God’s hands.

Your Giving Makes a Difference!

Every gift to Harvest helps us reach souls, support missions, care for our community, and steward the resources God has entrusted to us. Whether it’s a tithe, offering, or special gift, your generosity fuels transformation.
